There’s the hype about the wild-haired young black American guitar genius with the fancy 60s clothes that fucked and burned his guitar on stage, but where does it take you, when you strip off the iconic elements and try a portrait, which focuses on the music which represents the genius best? The material is taken from the Monterey and Blackpool concerts in ’67
Facial expressions are "quasi eternal" reflections of emotions as is the music, so I included those and attempted a visualization of the sounds. The material is taken from later concerts in Woodstock (’69) and Maui (70), to give an impression of how the music and performance change.
Number four is dedicated to the music completely. It’s an how Hendrix’ guitar play looks like to me, in particular the improvisations at the end of the Woodstock and at the Maui concert.
